Leanne Lavelle

I am Leanne. Founder and CEO of More Than Talk LTD. I am extremely passionate about the services we provide in schools, early years settings and to families in their homes. I understand how frustrating it can feel not getting the right support at the right time, whether you are a school or a parent, I am here to help and to listen. Speech, language and communication are essential life skills. Our vision is for all children to become the best communicators they can be with improved outcomes in the areas of academic attainment, emotional well-being, behaviour and quality of life.
I have well over a decade’s worth of experience supporting children with a wide range of Speech, Language and Communication Needs as part of the NHS and privately. I have a lot of positive energy that filters through the work I do with children. I am a friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic therapist. I work flexibly and creatively to achieve great outcomes.

Rachel Jones
Specialist Speech & Language Therapist (BSc Hons, mHCPC, mRCSLT)
I am Rachel. I am a specialist speech and language therapist with over 7years of experience. I have experience working with children from ages 2 to 18 years old in their homes, nurseries, schools and clinics. I have specialist experience in working with a range of disorders and conditions such as Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), autism, learning difficulties, Social Emotional and Mental Health, speech sound difficulties and attention and listening difficulties. I believe in working with the child rather than the disorder.
Prior to training as a therapist, I held a number of different jobs around the world and worked with many different cultures. I feel this was an excellent starting point for my career as a Speech and Language Therapist. I love working with people. As a therapist, I have a passion for working with children, but just as importantly is working with their families. Woking well together ensures the best possible outcomes for the child.

Ellie Hulme
Specialist Speech & Language Therapist (BSc Hons, mHCPC, mRCSLT)
I am Ellie. Since qualifying in 2018, I hold a broad range of experience working within the NHS and independent sectors including education and health settings. Before embarking on my career as a Speech and Language Therapist, I studied music at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. It was then that I wanted to pursue a career in working with children and young people, as I had always had a passion for early years development. I was employed for 3years as an Early Years Practitioner (Level 3 Advanced Diploma). This has given me a unique skill set when working with children. This experience has informed my practice and further enabled me to support children’s communication needs.
I have a specialist skill set in supporting children who stammer. I also work with children that may have selective mutism, speech sound difficulties, language needs, and autism. I see the positive impact of our work daily. Difficulties with communication can reduce access to education and impact quality of life, including peer and social relationships. My therapy sessions are motivating and bespoke to the child’s interests. I consider myself a compassionate practitioner. I am committed to providing the best possible service by respecting children and young people, parents, carers and professionals, always maintaining a person-centered approach.
