Free Telephone Consultation
A brief discussion of your concerns over the phone (up to 20 minutes).
Initial Assessment Visit
The initial visit will take approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours. This includes a case history discussion to gather information on your child’s development and background, an assessment of your child (where we look at all the skills they need in order to communicate) and informal feedback at the end of the session. An initial report can be requested (at an additional cost). Please also have copies of reports from other professionals that may have been involved with your child.
Individual Therapy
Therapy is mostly delivered in blocks of 6 – 8 sessions. Sessions are around 45-60 minutes. The SLT will work with you to create specific targets to achieve over this block. These sessions can be weekly or fortnightly. We encourage parents/carers to observe the sessions. The session fee includes; therapy, parent/carer feedback, planning/resource making prior to arrival, setting up the session and cost of travel.
Home Programme
An individualised written programme of strategies and specialist advice for you to carry out at home to improve your child’s communication skills (indirect intervention). Fee to be confirmed after the Initial Assessment Visit.
Nursery/School Programme
A written programme of strategies and specialist advice for education staff to carry out in your child’s learning environment (indirect intervention). Fee to be confirmed after the Initial Assessment Visit.
Review Sessions (Face to face or Skype)
Re-assessment Advice Fee dependent on where the session takes place.
